Communication

link coverConsistent, open and honest communication is vital to create a single employee community in which everyone can focus on business objectives and customer service.

All managers are charged with the responsibility to ensure that employees have an understanding of Lyreco’s plans, business results, changes and developments and that in turn employees understand how their objectives and responsibilities at work contribute to the company’s goals.

Business results are communicated through a range of channels including weekly bulletins, a monthly magazine – Lyreco Link, monthly and quarterly department briefings, quarterly meetings of the ‘Voice of Lyreco’ and an annual Sales Convention.

The ‘Voice of Lyreco’ was established in 2003 to ‘enhance Lyreco’s business by providing a means to support and encourage company-wide communication at all levels so that employees’ ideas and views are sought, listened to and taken into account when decisions are reached’. This is achieved through a network of elected employee representatives who meet quarterly with the Managing Director.

Feedback from the Employee Survey indicated that 96% of employees felt that they were properly informed about the company’s strategy and objectives and 98% indicated that they were properly informed on the results of the company.
